About Nutritional Harmony

Nutritional Harmony is a blog dedicated to exploring the connection between nutrition and mindfulness.  I am very passionate about this due to my own health journey over many years of suffering with gut health issues.

I want to share my experience and try and help those who feel like the only  answer is medication and a life of limitations and pain and suffering. Mother nature has provided us with everything we need to become the best version of ourselves.

Today so much of our food is ultra processed. In fact as much as 60% of our daily calories come from ULP.  Years of this way of eating can dramatically damage our body and wreak havoc. Causing diabetes, heart disease, systemic inflammation, cancer and even death.

In fact up to 80% of all chronic (long term) disease and death are caused by poor diet. The good news is, you can change this trajectory with a few simple changes.

The Connection Between Nutrition and Mindfulness

Nutrition and mindfulness are deeply intertwined, offering a holistic approach to improving both physical and mental well-being. Mindfulness encourages us to be fully present in the moment, and when combined with mindful eating and daily movement, it helps us make more conscious food choices. By paying attention to what we eat, how we eat, and the signals our body sends, we can foster a healthier relationship with food. Proper nutrition fuels the body and mind, while mindfulness helps reduce stress, improve digestion, and enhances our overall awareness of hunger and fullness cues. Together, they create a balanced approach to health that nurtures us as a whole.
